Rachael gets her mojo back

Rachael gets her mojo back

January came and went in the blink of an eye and certainly earned its crust as I quickly sped in to February; so when asked ‘’what have I been up to’’ I pause for thought and try to remember everything that January brought me.  The main talking point is my excitement and pride at becoming a Primal Brand Ambassador and the fact that I had received my 1st official package addressed to me with my new title.  Inside the parcel were 3 items of Primal cycling apparel, The Hotness Women’s Helix 2.0 Jersey, the Sound Barrier Women’s Helix Bib Short and my saving grace the Levanta Women’s Paradigm Jacket.  The weather has been quite bitter during my cold morning cycle rides and my journey to and from turbo training. The jacket has kept me snug as a bug and I have worn it as a regular jacket too.  To add to my growing love of Primal apparel and for the purpose of my running was the delivery of my new beloved Clast Tights and Primal t-shirt.

My focus over the next few weeks will (mainly) be on running and upping my mileage, organising my 1940’s big band event for charity and trying to fuel my runs by eating correctly now that the last of the Christmas biscuits have been demolished.   I am now well into double mile figures for the Cambridge half in March and it needs to be said, never underestimate the power of a good sports massage, the last time I had one was 2 days after last year’s VLM!!!  Having lost my running mojo since last year’s marathon I attended a Meet the Experts day at City Hall, Westminster, with many other London marathon runners.  I came away from there feeling revved up and ready to start tackling my long distance runs with…gusto!!  It had to be done that I also wore my black Primal women’s tee and seized a photo opportunity (or photobomb) with many of the celebrity guests at the event where possible.

Did I say my main focus is on my running…….well yes that’s mainly true but I can’t deny my indoor cycling on the turbo trainer and on the rollers is helping a great deal with my winter fitness including the ‘headwind in all directions’ during my rides.

One thing is for sure, I cannot wait to start filling my diary up with more cycling events.
